When will the Summit take place? Where is it located? 

The National Fight Food Waste Summit will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 24 – 25 July 2024.  

How can I register? What are the registration rates?

How can I reserve a hotel room, and what are the rates? 

Please visit the venue and accommodation page for a list of recommended hotels nearby, some offer discounted rates for delegates and codes are available via this page. 

I only want to attend one day of the conference, is that possible? 

There is no one day ticket offered for this event. A full registration allows you to select the days/sessions you would like to attend over the two days, and we invite you to enjoy them all. 

Is the Summit schedule available? 

You can see the program of thought-provoking speakers and expert-led discussions on the program page. This program and timings are subject to change, additions and updates will be posted on our website weekly and shared across our social media channels. 

When will the exhibition hall be open? 

The exhibition hall will be open on both days Day One: 0800 - 1800 Day Two: 0800 – 1600

I purchased a Virtual ticket, how do I access the sessions remotely? 

When you book and pay for your virtual ticket, you receive a confirmation email as your ticket. In addition, 7 days prior to the event you will receive access to the Virtual Event Portal and your unique event log in

What services are available for special needs and requests? 

We encourage persons with disabilities to participate in the programs and activities. Please contact events@bigfishevents.com.au no later than 30 June to request an Auslan interpreter or other accommodations for persons who use a wheelchair or other persons living with a disability. If you have dietary preferences, please be sure to mark those on the space provided on the registration form when you register. 

I just want to attend one session. Is that possible to do without registering for the conference? 

No, a full registration is required for entry. 

What is the cancellation policy for the conference? 

  • All cancellation requests must be made in writing to End Food Waste Australia (EFWA), either via your booking in EventsAir, or email events@bigfishevents.com.au – clearly stating your booking reference. 

  • Attendees can request refunds up to 30 days before the Event start date. 

  • Refunds will be made at the sole discretion of EFWA. 

  • We may charge you a fee for the replacement of tickets which are lost or stolen. 

  • We are under no obligation to replace tickets. 

  • You must not, without the prior written consent of EFWA, resell or offer for sale any tickets purchased at a premium to their purchase price. 

  • You cannot resell their tickets on an online auction site. 

  • If a ticket is sold or used in a breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the holder of the ticket may be refused admission to the Event. 

  • In the Event that you have received a positive COVID -19 test result within 5 days of the Event commencement date, your ticket may be converted to an online delivery ticket. You must provide written evidence of your positive test result to the event organiser prior to the Event commencement date. In this event, the difference between your ticket purchase value and the online delivery ticket will be refunded to you. 

  • Substituting names will be accepted provided it is completed via the Event website or emailed to events@bigfishevents.com.au prior to the Event. Registration is valid for the named attendee only.
